Axis Serbia is an NGO from Serbia with a goal of bringing positive change by empowering young people through non-formal education.
Mission
Non‑formal education is how we build the change we want to see.
Axis Serbia is a non-profit Public Association founded in June 2025 in Belgrade. Our story started earlier though, when we met each other through youth projects across Europe. Each of us had our own experience with non-formal education, and we all shared the same feeling: we found out about it later than we wanted to.
That's why we exist now: to bring mobilities, trainings, workshops, volunteering opportunities to young people, so they can discover non-formal education earlier than we did. We believe real growth starts the moment you step outside what you know, and that's the space we try to open up.
Training youth workers and facilitators so every project we run is led by people who actually know what they're doing.
Bringing young people across borders and backgrounds into the same room to build understanding that outlasts the project.
Giving young people the tools, experience and platform to act on the issues they actually care about.
Building digital literacy and hands-on skills with new tools — AI especially — so young people shape technology, not just consume it.
Turning ideas into action with the mindset to spot opportunity in every challenge and adapt when things change.
Building curiosity, problem-solving and confidence through hands-on, non-formal science and technology learning.
Educating a generation that understands its impact and acts on climate, pollution and sustainable practice.
Promoting mental well-being, physical activity and self-awareness as the foundation for everything else.
Strengthening youth organisations and championing inclusion, transparency and participation.
